Unrequited

Unrequited

A Poem by gsoagt

Unrequited

She doesn’t give herself enough credit

She is worthy of so much more in life

She hides her beauty and her talents.

What could be the fear?

Perhaps someone could love her again

As should be…

Words of passion burst forth from within

Creating images to make one blush and swoon

Would that that passion be for one as old as I?

I could not tell.

She disguises her beautiful mane beneath a cap of cotton.

I see in her eyes a sparkle that fashion could be had.

Her lips revealed a smile that called to me

I wanted to kiss those lips but dared not try.

Beautiful words. And I am sure that the person you have described would appreciate such words. Wonderful work indeed.
"She disguises her beautiful mane beneath a cap of cotton..." I love how sweet and normal this line is...

Wonderful job dear!
