Hello Old Friend.

Hello Old Friend.

A Poem by Ironbutt

Holidays bring on joy, love....depression. Be aware of does signs and reach out.

  Well hello old  trusted friend,
I figured I would see you again,
when the sound of their boots have all faded away...
and again I stayed...
welcome to ...my asylum.
Seems we meet each year this way..
so long now I cannot say...
maybe back once or twice before the war...
then there were several times more..
each time I've welcomed you....
to my asylum.
Yes that is a new tree
and the lights are pretty...
seemed it looked brighter back in the store,
I really don't think I can do much more...
it is too bright.......in my asylum.
Yes I talked to my friend just yesterday..
he said he had to go couldn't stay ,
looked so good leaning against that M16,
that smile that would tell he was kidding,
same one he had....last time I saw him...
maybe he doesn't like ....my asylum.
Ok I know you want to go,
glad you came by you know...
yes I will tell the rest that you came by...
maybe we can do a shot together...next time...
so until then, I will be here........in my asylum.
 Well hello my trusted friends........
