Not a Christmas Story...but it could be.

Not a Christmas Story...but it could be.

"

Kindness can happen at any time.Pass it on.

"

" Hey , you're not about to close ? " He asked ,as the snow followed him into my store.

"No I reckon now Iam not, got snow all over my floor."

He seemed a little taken back by the entrance he had made.

Tried every way to apologies, I just asked him to stay out of the way.

He went on to explain that his wife was outside,

a baby on the way,

seems some how life had derailed their dreams and tonight had no where to stay.

He had seen me trying to clean up the store , how long ,  he did'nt know

but somehow he had made a plan to get her out of the snow.

I told him to quit standing there, mouthfull of nothing news

and get that little lady warm before her face was two shades of blue.

He scuttled out of my store like a new lease on life had been found,

me I just shook my head, snow in my store and more snow coming down.

Little while later in they came, my she was close to giving birth,

he kept trying to do this and that anything that looked like work.

I found some room in the back, not much but it was cozy and dry.

We pushed on this and pulled on that and soon it looked like liveable space,

I tell you, those two lovebirds  had hope all over their face.

Well they say that year we had the worst snow recorded for some time,

I just wonder where them three would have been ( that's right I said three, a little boy)

had I closed up that night on time.
