My Hope

A Poem I wrote for my oldest son..A mother could never be more proud than me of the man he has become.

I pray for you wisdom
throughout all of the years-

May you know only happiness
and never a days worth of tears-

May the sun light your days
and the moon guide your nights
may your soul see not shadows
but be blessed with eternal light-

I hope that never
you will be afraid to take a chance
but your heart will sing
in life's beautiful dance-

If ever a tear you shall know
may it be from happiness
to others you bestow-

I wish for you all things
perfect in life
never a moments sadness
or ever strife-

For a mother could never
be more proud than me
to the man you have become
your soul so beautiful to see-
