The Legends Untold

The Legends Untold

A Poem by Milena Grubor

In the alley of despair, where the broken dreams collide,

I roam through the ashes of the love I've never tried.

Ghosts of sweet affection whisper softly in the night,

But their hands are cold as winter, and their eyes are void of light.

Where the roses twist with thorns, and the petals bleed regret,

I dance with my demons in a waltz of lost respect.

The sirens call from the depths, their cries a haunting tune,

But all I touch is emptiness beneath a blood-red moon.

I wear the mask as an armor, but my silence screams loud,

In the echo of a heartbeat, I’m the lost among the crowd.

Cloaked in the midnight, where the nightmares converge,

Every touch feels like thunder, as my heart starts to purge.

The years collide like thunderous waves,

As I stand on the edge of forgotten graves,

This life a burden, shackled and chained,

With every sunrise, the emptiness gained.

With every heartbeat, the walls close tight,

In the twilight of existence, I’m losing the fight.

No one can see the tears of a shark,

In salty waters, pain leaves no mark.

The only thing left is the thought of release,

In the heart of the chaos, I seek my peace,

The clock ticks louder, the end is in sight,

This wretched existence, I shatter tonight.

Time to sever the ties, to break from this chain,

As the echoes of anguish dissolve in the rain.

Let the darkness embrace me, let the shadows unfold,

I’ll carve out my name in the legends untold.
