Malice

Malice

A Poem by Milena Grubor
"

"When someone betrays you once, they will do it again."

"

In the twilight's shroud, where silence screams,

A friend in the dark, unraveling seams,

You wore a mask, painted with lies,

A wraith in disguise, beneath the night skies.

You danced with the evil queen, in a waltz of despair,

With each whispered promise, you laid my soul bare.

You conjured a monster from shadows and dreams,

A ghoul in the night, tearing at the seams.

With every step forward, your grip holds me tight,

But I’ll break these chains in the dead of night.

Your whispers were poison, a venomous breeze,

A storm of deceit, brought me to my knees.

You buried me alive in your grave of despair,

But I’m clawing my way back, breathe in the air.

Demon in the shadows, devil in disguise,

You made a pact with the darkness, beneath your lies.

A puppet on strings, a marionette lost,

But I’ll sever the ties, no matter the cost.

The ashes will whisper, the ghosts will provide,

A symphony of vengeance, the truth won’t reside.

Dance with your shadows, twist in the gloom,

The echo of malice, the curse of the tomb.

You’re just a ghoul in a kingdom of lies,

While I rise from the ruins, and sever the ties.

Leave betrayal behind, let the darkness subside,

I’m reclaiming my heart, the monster’s denied.
