Faith

Faith

A Poem by Milena Grubor
"

"Never lose fath."

"

In the shadows where the serpents crawl,

I felt the sickness, hear my heart's call.

Remember the night, when the whispers grew,

Lost in the darkness, it had a hold on me too.

But mother’s voice, it echoed so clear,

“Never lose faith, you’ll conquer your fear.”

Through the valley, I tread with grace,

With the light shining, on my tear-stained face.

Devil’s minions? I see their eyes,

But I found my salvation, beneath the skies.

In the storm’s embrace, I called out your name,

Each prayer a candle, igniting the flame.

From the jaws of curses, I broke away,

Now I pray for the lost, who can’t find their way.

Every moment of anguish, every tear that fell,

Like a stone in the river, I’m breaking my shell.

I remember the night, when I took my stand,

With a heart made of steel, and God’s guiding hand.
