RIP Pancakes

RIP Pancakes

A Poem by groisht

I am 1000 years old.

the world

crawls through my head

like syrup.

the world is to my eyes

as superglue is to a bug's feet.

do you really love me, all-encompassing sky?

or are you only in love

with everybody else

because that's sure what

it seems like

to me.

"Arrows of neglect"

"Honing in"

"On my heart"

RIP

I disappeared

I was kidnapped

by an escape artist

and taken to a place

where there is no escape.

I broke out

of the ant farm

that you so lovingly tend

and entered a world

where everything is in slow-motion

"merging rivers of rotting syrup

without a pancake

in sight.

RIP

"Pancakes"
