Garden Shadow

The shadow of a garden is intended to be planted in a new place.

I brought a shadow from my old garden to my new house. I put it in the shed, along with the lawnmower and other assorted gardening tools. One day I will plant the shadow in the ground and get my old garden back, complete with the hill that I used to slide down when it snowed and the plum and apple trees that my brother and I used for rotten fruit fights in the summer. I've got a whole suitcase full of shadows from old places and times but there is nowhere to plant them. I carry it around like the shadow of a ball and chain.
