Immortalized

Immortalized

A Poem by Joey Johnson

Many dreams explode
As many fantastic ideas
Flow freely through many young minds

Living through words
Soon to be immortal
If only in the memory of people

Letting words overtake
The minds of the masses
A story of interest

Something that pries
At the imagination
Opening up a new world

Wonderful new ideas
Some that scare
Others that bring tears

Heartwarming tales
Ones of joy and follies
Bravery shining forever

A writer’s remorse
Is that a story
Will be lost

I have experiences the loss. Not that I think that my words should be immortalized. I lost three note books in a house fire.

At least here at the caffe we have the hope that our words will last a while, if not forever.
