A Flower

A Flower

A Poem by B

Can you appreciate the beauty of a flower?

Take it in your hand and feel the petals move across your fingers.

Breath in its aromas and be lifted.

Do you appreciate the tranquility that the flower can bring?

Wrap those flowers in a ribbon and give them to the one you love.

Wake up every morning with those flowers bringing light into the heart of your home.

Do you appreciate the words the flower can speak?

Crush the petals in your mortar and pestle.

Paint your soul on an empty canvas using the life of those petals to fuel yourself.

Do you appreciate the emotions the flower can express?

Take a moment and realize that flower has been an extension of you. Saying things you cannot put to words, leaving your soul on the wall for others to see, lifting you above yourself and bringing about peace.

Do you appreciate the beauty of a flower now?

The best part of this poem in my opinion. Yes I do, thank you for sharing :) There are some lovely white roses beside my bed. It is nice to wake up and see them.
