Eternally

For her

You are the moon in my night sky,

My northern star in an ocean storm,

A cane when I am unable to walk.

You are the joy in every smile,

The hope in my every prayer,

A blessing from God Himself.

For all the times I have looked to you and said,

"You are mine,"

I now say,

"I am yours." 

Eternally.

I end every day with the hope that I will awake

the next if only to spend my life with you.

And I pray to God that He may grant me a life

of many years so that may fill it with your face.

Days where I am overcome and weak,

are forever softened by your loving voice.

Your touch, your kiss, and your hold are the very essence

of the life I strive for.

You are mine. I am yours. I love you. Eternally.
