The Game of Love

The Game of Love

A Poem by The Papermate Pen

each one of us is chosen

we must find the key-

the key that glistens of gold,

with a giant ruby heart-

the one to open every door.

we walk and run and crawl and climb

we do whatever possible,

but when the time comes,

tick tock tick tock,

we are thrown into that labyrinth.

there aint no set of rules.

nothing we must follow.

the goal is to find the way out,

out with the rest of the world,

with the key- glistening gold.

it dont come in no levels

but you can lose. i can too.

more than once.

some people, they never got out

some people, died because they cheated.

they kept going back and forth

rotating through the maze

decided to just forget it

its this door, lemme out.

they died.

love is a game.

you win through trial and error.

every injury in the playing, it only makes you better.

and everyone, everyone has only one true way out

and that's to find the correct person.

that's when you openned the final door.

the gateway to real freedom.

twisted, black steel, and curves and arches.

the cool silver lock.

the clear vision of reality. it's there.
