My Pond

My Pond

A Poem by The Papermate Pen

A pool of water surrounded by stone,

Blocks of granite, silver and grey.

Hill of mulch connects its behind,

A waterfall mold running through.

Flowers in the flower bed,

White, red, purple, and green.

Lillies in the little pond,

So happy, so cheery, so pink.

Translucent water tumble and crash,

Cascade down and inch below.

Giving shelter to the koi,

Playing in the sunlit waters.

Pink crowns on green plates dance with joy,

A waterfall runs through my pond.

Decorated by the flowers,

And lavished by the fish, laughing another day away.
