A Poem by Megan Lynn Tocci
"

"I once saw Jupiter through a telescope and it brought me to me knees and i will never be mighty like that."

"
dear universe,
how do the saints do it?
the ones that see hope in the void?

i fumbled my way through astronomy
but i can make out a constellation or two:
i'm one step above the masses i would say,
thanks to those godforsaken scout excursions
and uncle sam's public university system,

but i look up and get lost.

not amidst the Heavens or some enlightenment
bullshit but lost & small because space just is and
i'm just not most of the time when it matters,  and

i once saw Jupiter through a telescope and it brought
me to my knees and i will never be mighty like that

or

be known the way those scientists know Jupiter as it
hums along so far from here we can't truly fathom it.

the saints claim they do.

dear universe,
send better voids.
