A Poem by Megan Lynn Tocci
"

You were the one who was reckless. Fleeting.

"

They said that time heals all things and that young love is reckless and fleeting.

They were wrong.

Young love is unapologetically magnetic.

It’s trusting someone enough to give them your brand new heart.

Unscarred.

Juvenile.

Young love is tender and fragile.

You.

You were the one who was

Reckless.

Fleeting.

Few ever get to "touch" ET's glowing fingertip... except in dreams. Most relationships don't begin with "bad" intent - some aren't even intended at all. Life happens and we change - some grow, some don't, expectations take over and some people also don't want to change OR be changed. And when we hurt - well, we DO hurt and how we deal with our selves takes time - to both learn and understand.

A thought-full poem.
