Graduation is fast 

approaching 

and I feel a 

profound sadness.

I just want to live

and not have to prove anything 

to anybody.

I don’t want to talk

about things that don’t matter.

I don’t want to waste 

half my life in an 

office with people I don’t like, 

doing something

that chips away at my soul, 

knowing I’m pouring

water on all of my passions, 

on all the things that

make me feel more 

alive than this does.

There has to be something 

different

and I want to find it, but the 

only 

damn word

that defines recent memory

is “no, no, no” 

I swear to God.
