The Promise

This poem is deticated to my boyfriend...He give's me the most insparation. Andy, I love you no matter what happen's in life..

He promised her that she would never be harmed

He promised her that she was the only one.

He promised that he would never let her go,

and he swore that he loved her so.

He told her that nothing but love

could stand in their way,

and nothing but the truth he will always say.

He'd always speak of laying in the sand,

as they held eachother close

hand in hand.

She'd look him in the eyes

as he'd sing her a song,

and she knew that nothing would ever be wrong.

But most of all,

he promised her his heart

and together they came up with a new start.

He gave her his love

and she gave him hers in return,

and like the flame of a candle

their love will forever burn.
