i hope you enjoy this go at an English sonnet and a bit of romancing the Science ... i added a haiku for the same title for fun .. let me know what you think :)
from Wikipedia
"n observational astronomy an Einstein ring, also known as an Einstein-Chwolson ring or Chwolson ring, is the deformation of the light from a source (such as a galaxy or star) into a ring through gravitational lensing of the source's light by an object with an extremely large mass (such as another galaxy or a black hole)."[1][2]
dark matter: (same sourse)"Dark matter is a type of matter comprising approximately 27% of the mass and energy in the observable universe that is not accounted for by dark energy,"
dark energy: "a theoretical repulsive force that counteracts gravity and causes the universe to expand at an accelerating rate.
"Einstein's theories allow for the possible existence of dark energy" "

For me, and aside of the Author's note, this was a meditation's experience, the connection with the higher divine power, the images You saw through it, the presence of Your lover whom was firmly there almost in each image, it was like floating through the universe, an experience not many can fully go through. an amazing sonnet Mr.E something new from You for me to read, and it was a pleasure and real joy, the Haiku is quite amazing and strong too, it's like a "waking up" message to open the mind, to see beyond what eyes can see, and in both poems I felt a sentimental yearning waving gently like the calm sea behind Your lines.
Thank You for sharing Your superb experience with all of us.

I always loved and admired astronomy as you share with us your gift and knowledge of the Heavens from poetic and scientific views and observations. I also admire Einstein and his marvelous contributions to science and humanity. Thank you for sharing these two wonderful forms...:)....................

brilliant work from a master, the sonnet, the haiku just pure poetry on science, brilliant lol

Hi E. Very solid Sonnet. They are very hard to construct. Yours reads naturally, unforced. That is a good thing. The Haiku is also solid and very well structured...naturally. Good job. Fun Read. Earl

I have to admit, the theory behind the Einstein ring and dark matter/energy are beyond me, and the poem itself is difficult to grasp without a solid understanding of the background. But the language is beautiful. My favorite line is "and gather wrapped fingers of stars in the skies." The imagery throughout this piece, while difficult to fully comprehend, conveys a theme of magnificence and etherealness. Perhaps the incomprehensibility is part of what makes this so effective. Would it be silly to call this "stellar"? :) Whatever the case, it's beautiful. Great work!

Ok, darling. You really should have saved the progressions of this piece. It is beautiful, yet so different from the original. I have the one in my PMs to you - maybe you should post the changes - a sort of tutorial as it were.

An amazing two pieces of poetry, E … truly!
Your scientific tidbits placed an especially interesting period to this very enjoyable interlude, too … I learned something new, which is always an unexpected benefit.
Word-choice, ease of flow, rhymes (except in V3), imagery, entertainment factor, etc; all very impressive to the senses.
As a full-fledged Sonnet, it has a ways to go, but I see that KL is addressing that aspect with you, and i know she will treat you right … she knows her stuff! : )
The Haiku? Fantastic in every way this little poem should be done … I love it!
Thank you, My Fine Friend, for sharing your amazing poetry and wonderful effort in this very challenging form … I look forward to watching your progress! ⁓ Richard
