i hope you enjoy this go at an English sonnet and a bit of romancing the Science ... i added a haiku for the same title for fun .. let me know what you think :)
from Wikipedia
"n observational astronomy an Einstein ring, also known as an Einstein-Chwolson ring or Chwolson ring, is the deformation of the light from a source (such as a galaxy or star) into a ring through gravitational lensing of the source's light by an object with an extremely large mass (such as another galaxy or a black hole)."[1][2]
dark matter: (same sourse)"Dark matter is a type of matter comprising approximately 27% of the mass and energy in the observable universe that is not accounted for by dark energy,"
dark energy: "a theoretical repulsive force that counteracts gravity and causes the universe to expand at an accelerating rate.
"Einstein's theories allow for the possible existence of dark energy" "

For me, and aside of the Author's note, this was a meditation's experience, the connection with the higher divine power, the images You saw through it, the presence of Your lover whom was firmly there almost in each image, it was like floating through the universe, an experience not many can fully go through. an amazing sonnet Mr.E something new from You for me to read, and it was a pleasure and real joy, the Haiku is quite amazing and strong too, it's like a "waking up" message to open the mind, to see beyond what eyes can see, and in both poems I felt a sentimental yearning waving gently like the calm sea behind Your lines.
Thank You for sharing Your superb experience with all of us.

I think that we are created in pairs...one light(+)...one dark(-) bumping around this universe until we are electrically reconnected. This piece makes me think maybe I am not alone in my thoughts

As a word-y type I often wondered if I wouldn't have retained more science-y info if the two hadn't been combined as you have done so well here E.
I'll surely not forget this peek into Einsteins ring (ooh matron!) in a hurry.
Im just looking at the rhyming here - its tight and whats more it still makes sense. One of my pet hates is when some poets shoe-horn any old rhyming word in instead of taking time to find the 'right' one.
You are not a shoe-horner.

I believe there is a relationship between science and art (or love and science) that enhances both... there is much still "hidden" by dark matter/dark energy and also much that romance hides in the dark spaces (not meant as dark and evil, etc, but things we hide from each other) in our minds... in your "romancing the science" you wonderfully navigate the eddies and distortions of gravitational pulls... just as in romance we are influenced by the gravitational pulls of each other..
I enjoyed this concept of Einstein's Ring mingled with the Einstein Noodle and out comes a haiku as well.... ah such romance E and thank you for the galactic fling..

I love work that has more than one way in. More than one pathway. Here I find a multitude. I also love the complexity of something more than metaphor in this (or these) work (or works). Interesting dichotomies here beteen love poem and astronomical art.

This is beautiful whether about the stars and planets or something or someone else you find that captivates your thoughts and feelings. Beautifully captured..
Totally incidental, yet worth mentioning just for the coincidence. I see that you wrote this in July, but the first I heard of the Einstein ring was last night, when Rajesh gave pretty much word for word your description. As it was the latest episode, I found this rather eerie :)

I love this piece.
Reading it is like taking a magical ride of the mind...beautiful in it's grace and flow and rhyme.
Loved this opening: My darkness falls over your haloed brow;/beguiling my heart, seducing my dream.
This could have almost been a lover's poem to his sweetheart, and yet, I don't think it is...it's deeper...and yet not. It's lyrical, in its own unique way, touching the conscience like a butterfly pausing on a petal, before taking flight again. Nicely done.

Einstien Noodle,
This was really intersting and informative with of course a lot of poetic beauty all tied together. I was inspired to say the least. It is so neat to see how you brought elements of space and science together within design. Blessings to you as your craft is perfected kathy

A most intriguing write my friend. I have never really thought of science and poetry in the same context but you have a masterpiece here where the two mate beautifully. I love the metaphors you have used and the images are so vivid and imaginative.

I think it's exhilarating, sort of a departure from your usual soirees me thinks. You did a stellar job maneuvering dark energy on both counts. I think that's where some poetry is in hiding. :)
