Unfortunately You

Unfortunately You

A Poem by Evan

Dearest Lover,
I am sorry I didn't leave earlier.
I didn't know how easy it was to detach my feelings.

Mostly self observed I wanted the full version of your touch. Am I too much or just not enough for your lust.

Dearest Lover,
You said we can't love everyone who loves us but how can I love somebody who doesn't love me.

Abandoned and friendless I followed your light. Risking my life for your lovely delight. Leading me straight into the darkness wondering why YOU left me.

Dearest Lover,
You not loving me is the key.
In the darkness I found the light within me. And when I saw the windows of your soul I noticed there wasn't the light I had seen before.

My dearest lover,
It was unfortunately you I wasn't supposed to kiss.
It was unfortunately you I was supposed to dismiss.
It was unfortunately you why I was feeling low
It was unfortunately you I had to let go.

Now, I am headed straight to hell.
Now, I walk on water and shave my hair, I guess it was because of you we didn't have a love affair. Oh lover,
Oh lover,
see you there.
