As I Paint

 

The world flows all around me

In my heart I remember the past

 A past where two towers streamed above

And were a government building held whole

Where people lived a so-called peaceful life

 

Until that day

A day to remember never to forget

A day where many people lost to death

Many brave and valiant

Like the knights of old

 

I add a little of them from my heart

Into my work so when I forget

As we all will one day forget

What happened that day

The day the world held still for us all

 

So I paint for you for your memory

In my heart and mind

I paint to remember you the ones we lost
