Our Almost Year

One month and it will have been a year,
A year with you in my mind, in my life, in my heart.
Month one i met you, you seemed so different and i knew i was going to dread our parting,
Month two, three, and four, you were just a memory, you seemed so far away but so important
Month four was when a week before Thanksgiving you weaseled yourself back into my life and hurt me,
Month five was when i realized i wanted you, needed you more than anything, but you were happy with her, so i lied and said i wanted him, i know now it was wrong, but you told me we could never be,
Month six was the beginning, we became so close, spent nights on the phone, we snuck to the movies once or twice and you held me,  she wasn't here and i was, i knew it was me, i knew i had to make you mine, i knew,
Month seven you finally realized and saw her for the true waste she was, and you saw me, for the special girl i could be, we shared our first kiss,
Month eight, you told me you loved me that night you were crying about my childhood, but i knew everything would be ok for now and forever,
Month nine we went to that dance called prom and went to anime convention together, i held on to your arm like i would die if we got separated, you comforted me when my mom went back to rehab and you never left me alone.
Month ten we had some tough times i do believe, but we were always there for each other and now we're happy,
Month eleven is now, we're together now and it's been the best almost year i've ever had, it's summer and we spend nights on the phone listening to each others problems, making each other laugh, loving each other more than the months before.
I can't wait for the next years to come.
