When Season's Change

When Season's Change

Our friendship began like a beautiful spring morning
Brightening . . . as we began to know each other
Warming . . . as our love for one another grew
Together we travelled happily through the day
Content in our love for one another

Then suddenly, the clouds gathered and the winds blew
Thunder shook the heavens and the rains came down
Turning the day into night and joy into sadness
Threatening to destroy all the good things in our lives
But in the darkness our bond only grew stronger

Soon the clouds parted and the sun shined bright once again
Shining brightly upon a beautifully refreshed world
Together we found that even though the storms may come
And we are forced through the darkness
Our love will prevail.

Very beautiful! Love can change from day to day, but if it's strong it will grow from day to day. Great message!

I love the last stanza! That is how it should be. Keep on penning.

Grayhaven you have written like Zeus from on high. Is your poem painting a picture of two people who are battered by forces from the outside or were you seeking to depict a couple who goes through internal strife? Does "the sun shined bright once again" denote a comfortable reconciliation or is it a knowing nod that together the couple can withstand all the world can throw at them?
Is this answer being too critical? Please understand that I only mean to help improve every writer's work.
