The Winds

The Winds

A Poem by grayhaven

The Winds

The winds of loneliness blow through my soul.
Like the cold swirling winds of autumn blowing through a grove of trees.
Stripping away all the leaves from its branches and leaving in its wake only the bare skeletal remains to wait, once again, for the warmth of spring.
As do I await the return of Love.

So very poignant and yet not without hope. Well done!

Micket...my friend. This is a very feeling, flowing emotional enigma of lonliness..Like you, I too, await for the return of love/ I have the love of my children and granddaughter and that suffices the most part of it, but there is still a part of my heart that feels empty
