Bumps in the Night + Till LightA Poem by grayday104Bumps in The Night with it's sequel Till Light
If monsters lie under the bed
then what is this beast that dwells in my head? Why does this ghastly ghoul haunt me so? And must I bear more pain then permitted to show why in the dark do I cower in fright? Of the thing that goes bump in the night? Once again night is near Daylight ends and starts my fear I am the baron of the sunset Chill to your neck Cold in your sweat Blistering terror making you wet Stay in the light or you'll regret Bumps in the night And the monsters you've met Sanctuary the sweet sun ray Take the night and make it all okay Each day a gift by night I fall Boogies bumps and a bedtime brawl Sleepy hollows and midnight frights My world burns by candle light Coward in a corner ghostly white Waiting for the wake of light Daylight comes and all is right Till the dark and my dread takes life TILL LIGHT I am the reason the lights stay on I am the horror that haunts before dawn The peril of night the daylight's fright Brace yourself you've got till light Enraged the monster I fear from my bed Tic tic tic the sound of my dread A haunting foe I've arranged my woe In search of my light before day's glow The b*****d his dark my missing heart Now i have till daybreak starts Daylight looms tic tic tic as his clock ends soon I loved her like light and brought her a tomb Indulged in the light and prompted his wrath Now at his mercy for my other half I scourged his reign and brought me pain Boogies, bumps, and my bedtime bane © 2013 grayday104Author's Note
