A Fade to Black

A Fade to Black

A Poem by grayday104
"

Vengeance on what is called Art

"
The shatter of glass
And swoop of a sneak
This comedy is looking bleak

A fade to black
And the curtains drawn
A chilling scream
But the show will go on

She lay cold all is still
Is it mishap or is it a kill?
A crashed light a fatal blow
An actress the world won't know

Places now back to the set
What they've seen they won't forget
They dry their eyes and hold the show
For the fallen they watched go
A fade to black and smoke in the air
A dark man approaches not seeming to care
Clears his throat then decides to share
"You've forced my hand and this foul plan
For a battered art I took a stand
What you call art is my dismay
And now swiftly I've made you pay
I gave you tears and a madman to fear
Now don't destroy what I hold dear!"
