Another Requiem

Another Requiem

A Poem by gravitylava

again because again I am a person

all of the virtue you think is worthwhile,

it's just love, stale love so homesick and far away

to be honest I’m the worst person you’ve ever known

I bring my absent mind and broken spirit

just so you can say good morning and remember me,

make patience with my cigarette use,

it's always been for something

my words and words and blown up facts

s**t-stained masks, rhyming blasts about tomorrow for the stars

they died thousands of years ago but we never cared to look until now

so I’m sorry I’m this fragile,

I’m sorry I don’t ever do enough

do you believe me when I start sentences I don’t plan on finishing?

don't believe what you don't exist through,

don’t ask your mother about her appetite and then fall through the floor

she grows nauseous while I drive,

and I know she’s tired because so am I

In all this dark I’ve come to know the truth is pale

we are all going to die and I want to be the one with the upper hand

go on then, tell me everything you thought today

tell me why it changes me

tell me again because again I am only a person
