Holiday Poetry Slam Poem

Holiday Poetry Slam Poem

A Poem by gravitylava

happy holidays
for the masses
the lower classes
the half empty glasses

the girls that you meet
nearly naked in the street
no consequences for their feet
so raw
so raw
so raw

my friend who's dying
standing up or barely trying
I can't call when I'm crying
so impossible
so impossible
so impossible

all the books that no one's read
lying lonely in Rebekah's bed
she's too smart for her own head
so beautiful
so beautiful
so beautiful

at least we can still walk away
at least the clock's still okay
at least it's still a holiday
so lovely
so lovely
so lovely
it's the stillest night possible

happy holidays
for the masses
the lower classes
the half full glasses
