A Poem by gravitylava

there's a sense of grace in you of which I cannot define

but I feel I must speak with utmost care

because I'm tired of looking like a fool next to brilliance

I'm certain there are windows in your eyes,

curtains drawn back revealing neither night nor day

and your mouth is lined with gold,

so every word falls down my face like salt water

in a beauty I cannot escape,

but will eventually be forced out by my desire to reside

in your bed of safety

under the sky that proves our being

there's a sense of boldness in you,

brazen smiles through the ugly bits

like a second dose of antidepressants

wake up my muse,

what a beautiful autumn scene awaits us

the cold air that hasn't left for weeks

laughs comfortably inside our bones

"like a second dose of antidepressants" nice use of contemporary language-- don't think I've ever heard that simile before. Autumn is an entrancing time isn't it.
