Chapter 6A Chapter by Hazel Hyacinth"Jasper's Wish"A few days later, Jasper woke up and yawned. Rosemary was in his arms, as usual. He kissed her cheek and smiled. As she opened her eyes, she too smiled, and they looked at each other. “Good morning, sunshine,” Jasper sweetly said. Rosemary replied, “Good morning, handsome.” They kissed a few times, then Jasper nuzzled her cheek and said fondly, “Oh, if you only knew how happy you make me.” She grinned and replied, “You are the sweetest man ever put together.” “You’re the sweetest and most beautiful woman ever invented,” said Jasper. “And I love you.” “I love you, sweetheart,” replied Rosemary. Jasper wrapped his arms around her, fell back on the bed, and rested Rosemary on top of him. She lay her head on his chest and listened to his heartbeat. As she listened, she noticed that his heartbeats got progressively faster and louder. She was concerned, but she realized what made his heart beat so loud when he softly said, “I want to have a baby with you, Rosemary.” “What?” Rosemary asked in a hushed tone. With his heart beating faster than ever, Jasper said, “Rosemary, it’s true. I want to marry you. I want to be with you until that clock stops ticking.” Jasper pointed to an expensive clock suspended on the wall. He continued, “I don’t want this house to be empty anymore. I want to fill it with our children. I know you think I’m a madcap, but I’m saying what my heart is asking for. You are the only woman for me. You are the only woman I want to have my children.” Jasper flipped her over on the bed, and Rosemary had no idea what had happened to her passive, reserved Jasper. Jasper supported himself on his arms as he deeply kissed her, then he whispered, “We could make beautiful babies, Rosemary. I just know it. Oh my love, please.” He began to kiss her neck, and Rosemary was a bit frightened. She had never seen this side of him before. Underneath her fright, however, was a bit of bliss. Her heart began beating just as loud as his. “Jasper, what are you doing?” gasped Rosemary. Jasper’s hard breathing answered her question without a word. He wanted to make love to her. Coming from a strict Catholic family, Rosemary had never done such a thing. She didn’t want to tell him ‘no’, however, for she knew that it would break his heart. Religion or love? Jasper then picked up his head and gazed into her eyes. She gazed back, and his icy eyes made the decision for her. She threw her arms around him and vigorously kissed him. © 2015 Hazel HyacinthAuthor's Note
