Mouth Mouthing.

Mouth Mouthing.

A Poem by Rachel DeHart

I like that we just deiced

on the go

on the fly

that dc was in fact

                                the place to hide

off run quick

and find ourselves, lets do this kids

cause time never runs out

when you’re this close to bliss.

I love that

           you fit into my life

that nothing had to be rearranged.

It is as if, this spot has been waiting for you

all along.    for all time, don’t you see

because nothing has shifted, or been

displaced, by your presence,

instead, everything is just

enhanced and more

                                worth keeping.

                                more worth sleeping

you are why people say

they’ve spent their whole lives searching.

the everything, for which

                                     I’ve been waiting

and  if forever has a time limit

you’re the who whom I want to be spending

                                cause you always keep me

           spinning

and gravity has an odd way of shifting

when your smile erupts

                the sun learns of envy.

here is my heart beat, erratic and changing

please just keep on kissing

soon enough either I’ll explode

or keep on living

don’t you dare turn away, because my oxygen

is depleting, my planes crashing

too much space

                                too much time

i need your hands on me

please love me.

if people are made separately

then we must have been built with totally

mixmatched interchangeable

parts, cause I’ve never felt quiet

whole until youwere here, with me.

Now just kiss me

cause the closer we get

the more sense we keep making

                nothing has ever

                                or will ever

                    be close to the

           safety

of you saying you love me

the sky must be falling

because who knew i could be this     lucky?

and if this is a dream

                do not wake me

i’ll stay here forever

with your heart pitterpattering

for all the bad missed spa-spatterings

of mine. And I’ll do the breathing

if you keep on speaking

we’ll trade on and off

the world wasn’t ready for us

so who’s gonna miss us?

there are enough movies

and books and unthought think thinkings

to keep us in bed for weeks

so lets lose the baggage of drama

false eyelashes and behind back talking

cause honesty has some new roommates

to share its space with

i love the way your smile smirks

and ears turn red

the way your eyes always sparkle

like i’m the only one in your head

cause I know I am, cause your in mine

and everything here is just what it seems

true love

soul mates?

all that was bull s**t till we started mouth mouthing

and even still,

no one has ever

done it like we’re doing it

tristan and isabel  were just a fortune cookie

good luck, kinda swoon hearted but not

true hearted love

                                compared to this

nothing

                                compares to this

cause your what started my heart

and I’m what started yours

so was there even time

before our kiss started lore?

I love the mvement of this poem =- the way it ebbs and flows with kisses a constant theme, like the water embracing the beach

i really liked the flow of this...it had a lightness too it which seems to fit with your theme. also, did you mean tristan and isolde? i believe that's the love story you were referring to.

lovely :)

This is amazing, and I love it.

This is probably my favorite part
"compared to this
nothing
compares to this"

I love the way that flows and matches...very well done.

This is great as well
"Now just kiss me
cause the closer we get
the more sense we keep making"

Awesome job on this one!
