Cra wl

Cra wl

A Poem by Rachel DeHart

I want to
       cra   wl
  into your voice
for the few seconds
you say the word
             "mine."

I would like to     stay
there, if
              that's alright.

lose myself
  in the tight
            embrace
of your arms
             tangled around   me.
the way, your breath
tickles my neck     with my hair.
   how, some
             how
         our legs interlock
       and your heart beat,
             is the tick tock
of my souls clock,
i have no desire to ever
                    [let you] leave.

stay here with me
       living on my floor,
             tracing out a whole new
                           world.
                    [a brave one]
              this time [bomb] of our
                     air lock.
i'd like to keep you safe.
tuck you snug into my    life.
be the type of
             [love]
                    that songs
                       and stories
                    sonnets,
                           and movies
             [the type of love that
                    jane austin]
                dream[ed] about.

so.

hold my hand a little tighter,
we'll mold our bodies into one.
as you fix up all my holes
with the broken shards of
             who you are.
I'll give you all of mine to use,
past love, blood and scartissue
                 will be the mortar
       for this [love]
and we will
             put shame to every
         word in the english language.
             [in any language]
    for every adjective for happiness
             must have been falsely
                    used until
                           this.
because.
       dear.
i never heard the word mine
                           really
                 until those lips of yours
                    [of mine]
                           [of yours]
                    [of mine]

                        spoke it truly.

Wow! The layout makes it even better! I love it :]

I love:
"some

our legs interlock
and your heart beat,
is the tick tock
of my souls clock,
i have no desire to ever
[let you] leave."

Very, very good!
