Belittling Lowes Smile

Belittling Lowes Smile

A Poem by Rachel DeHart

there is something.. here

a “magma”tism of sorts.

something that clutches my heart

and shortens my breath.

the way everything just

                                fits.

i can not wait, the hours apart

seem long and endless

but together time isn’t with us.

please don’t take this wrong

but i think i might be getting

           attached.

this isn’t what i was looking for.

they must be right when they say

                                happiness always blindsides you.

with a smile in my eyes

i am going to sleep with the future

held tight.

you’re what I think about at night.

This is amazing. I can't believe I hadn't read it before...

"please don't take this wrong
but i think i might be getting
attached.
this isn't what i was looking for.
they must be right when they say
happiness always blindsides you."

You describe everything perfectly!
