caught on a bad day.

caught on a bad day.

A Poem by Rachel DeHart

honesty has never been
my strong suit,
when it comes to talking face
                          to
                  face.
but i find myself unedited,
and saying
exactly whats on my mind.

its a terrifying feeling,
knowing that every word
spilled in this confidence,
will be understood,
in its original context.

I don't need to dumb anything down.
rewrite any of my lines,
or sprinkle some sugar on the subject,
because your pallet is just as tough
                           as mine.

and this, my friend,
is something I'm not used to.
and mind you,
it is something i would
        defend.

I really like it :] I understand the feeling of this to the furthest extent, and you put it very, very well.

I can't pick a favorite part, because the whole thing is awesome, but what stood out to me was "its a terrifying feeling, knowing that every word spilled in this confidence, will be understood, in its original context. " I fully understand where you're coming from.

Amazing job with this one.

I like this. Very good. And I'm glad you seem to have found someone you can talk to.
