The Bite Of A Cloud

The Bite Of A Cloud

A Poem by gram linski

The Bite Of A cloud;
-
the falling rain, the  powered, powdered
angst of broken glass, snorted
instead of dreams,       a
                             cummulummbus
                                                             effect
-
      of matter over mind
a dampened sky / hung out
            wrung out to dry
-
the cloud bite sinks deep
     the fangs of sublime
like a melting forest
     face of a killer
and the dreams of the dream
     without hunter, or guile,
-
snapped neck tendons
crunch and creak and croak,
and break and moan
as my teeth fall short
-
of the bite of a dream
-
                 falling    -
                      cotton candy
-
felt between my rotten gums
                                                   and I
-
-
spit out vapor  and
-
                                              provide
-
                 (the fogged reflection,)
 (of the )/
                dream

Dreamtime is never a simple process, this really holds such impact, I find that in your poetry there is always an opportunity to walk myriad paths throughout. Astonishing in its vibrant details and places the reader on edge for they too know the depth of such happenings...brilliant gram :)

Nice to read you again, Gram. Your poem is packed with roiling imagery & knife-edged attitude. I'm reminded of how clouds have become the enemy in California . . . so dry here, we freak to see summer clouds which often bring dry lightning & wildfires. Northern California was toast this fire season, but luckily no nearby fires for me & I'm very thankful (((HUGS)))

When a cloud bites you, you know you are in trouble. These lines read like the worse type of nightmare, or a bad trip (not that I've ever been there, just read about it). You really get into the pit here, yes the pit and the pendelum territory, that terrified me. Some cracking lines gram.

you too gram!
This sounds more like a nightmare to me than a dream, but it definitely doesn't lack originality. I love the third stanza, and the bit about a cloud having fangs.
