The Nihilist Dreams

The Nihilist Dreams

A Poem by gram linski

The Nihilist Dreams ;
-
Old mad man Moon, hair longer than time
bars on the window, long rusted lock
playing with fire, exploding match heads
between thumb and teeth, the sulphuric smell
of another universe coming to life,
press restart
spent an eternity refuting and fighting
the definition of insanity
-
another 4 billion years fly by
in the blink of the eye
-
-
          PHFFT
-
-
             another match head gone
-
with trembling fingers and thought
another universe is born
-
-
          PHFFT
-
-
                                 or gone ...
-
-
          PHFFT
-
-
                                    or not...
-
Think On.

Hello, gram! :)
I read it twice to catch the meaning. It’s an interesting scene, and from my perspective, a less than meaningful existence for the match head people; but maybe some of them get dressed up for Sunday service anyway.
