A Moore poem ( of sorts ? )

A Poem by gram linski
"

based on the Henry Moore sculpture; The King and Queen, used to sit on top of a hill until vandals destroyed it, now sits in a museum , ( but still dreams, )

"
A Moore poem ( of sorts ? ) ;
-
with abstract ( lack of ) bronze
                                               eye
     I
              scan the horizon
-
king of these hills
frozen queen by my side
-
I watch the seasons
shift and moan
my patinated skin  -  green
in the moonlight,
    guardians of the lake
fresh water gods made animate
thanks to perception     horizon
                                                   and flaw
-
the slight glitch in the corner
of eye
the hole of my face sees
many dimensions deep
-
In reverie, I sit
and watch centuries fly by
-
fist in hand
my lover and eye
                       bronze  -  holed I
-
with a slight turn of the head
as if distracted
by chaos birds in flame,
as if disconnected
by the growl of an
angle grinder's shame,
-
I sit here now
in a mausoleum of dead art,
my Queen and I
staring blank walls
     wishing to feel /
                             a hurricane of wind
through close  -  blinkered
                                bronze ( hole ) eye
-
a reminder of hills in spring
-
         (this is my valley,
             this is my Queen )
-
I still see and feel the ( hurricane ) universe
     through the equity
                             of blind eyes

Caged In An Animal's Mind Caged in an animal's mind; No wish to be more or else Than I am; a smile and a grief Of breath that thinks with its blood, Yet straining despite; unsure In my stir .. more..
