An Effigy Sings

An Effigy Sings

A Poem by gram linski

An Effigy Sings
the broken planet
spat out a new dawn,
radiant,
waiting
----------------------
those b*****d bamboo husks
taunt me
tease me
laugh at me
feed me with their brittle
laughter and hollow dreams
------------------------
the glistening white
of virgin mind,           already
the sullied footsteps
of man
