Death On Credit

A Poem by gram linski
"

Oh, Louis, what have you done,

"
In dark increments
                           ( of moisture )
I sow the seed
of wheat
of barley
of the blood of the blonde wood rose
the blind moon   -   shuffling   -   reneging
unvoiced promises
the nightshade dust, blinding innocence,
distracting Angels from mercy and
freefalling Nimbus wheels of fire
A burning satire
the wit and venom of a
broken ssssnake
tail regeneration in the
lizard brain
-
;   paid in morphine drips of life,
a thousand little deaths a day,
-
the cat becomes an acidic tongue
with a winking brown eye
                                           of disdain
