And then ...

the darkness came out to play

smothered light, swallowed it

drowned me in its densest night

the thickness clogged  arteries

and airwaves choked 

unborn thoughts dry

things morphed changed     slid

into a fugue      a  state of uncalm

before the storm 

became the norm

a kaleidoscope of unfettered sweat

bleeding body shaped remembrance

tossed and turned in "Infernal

                                          Hell "

of sleep unslept

and dreams too real to stop,

And then ...

the night was gone

ripped violently from the tooth of broken moon

lunar tears  - hydrogen      leaking

streaking back towards earth

as gravity the w***e 

drags me home

A circuit break / overload

and all the world went black 

The paradigm shifted

spun its entrails inside out

and naked bone 

calcified and groaned

the rictus grin of life went on
