Spread that Rainbow vibe

Spread that Rainbow vibe

A Poem by gram linski
"

inspired by a chat with emmajoy, many thank yous

"
"whatever happens after the storms, comes the oh, so beautiful,"

the disconnected
patient zero
on planet Z
the empty streets
once filled with childish laughter
now gone,

but a sliver of refracted light

ROY G BIV was his name

prisms of life
giving hope, giving light

giving smiles and laughter

the Rainbow in the window
spreading it's happy vibes

' prisms of life .. .. giving hope, giving light .. .. ' That is so very essential right now in the darkness so many are feeling or trying NOT to feel.

Yes, yes and YES! Your words sing a Rainbow's magic so visually, so admiringly - you've converted words to thought, thought to colourful appreciation, gram. We need touches of magic and beauty in this Time's heartache and heartbreak, ' .. the empty streets - once filled with childish laughter.. '

Never mind the reason for a rainbow. Imagine all your favourite thing mixed together. Surely their sum total can't be as magically precious as the sight of a rainbow post torrent of rain! Plus, paues breath or two as it fades into sweet goodbye. People should white-cotton hang prisms at a window, see what happens when sunlight, even a chit of it, gives a shy smile!

Your words mean so much/ Wondering now if there's a name for a human being who loves rainbows, there must be one. If not, I suggest you invent it.

A lovely sentiment here, dear gram. Two and a half months since you posted this one and those rainbows are still needed. For now its still just showers of tears for those lost and those fallen ill. Hopefully when we get through this storm and everything returns to some kind of normal, we will see many rainbows of hope and for those we have lost. This is a lovely style of poem by you. Just plain old heart and soul on the page, and one with an inspiring message of hope for all of us. It was lovely to read and much enjoyed! :))

At the beginning of the week, a half a dozen or so primary school children still at school because their parents are key workers, posted hand written stay safe and well notes through doors, with crayoned pictures of rainbows on them; and a telephone number to call if anyone needed help.

I work from home, have done so long before this dreadful virus came into our lives; so I was at home at the time and it was such a charming sight, to see how the children stood in a little crocodile and kept that vital distance apart as they smiled and waved to everyone.

"whatever happens after the storms, comes the oh, so beautiful,"

A perfect sentiment.

Beccy.

ROY G BIV is new to me as well, perhaps this is an other side of the Atlantic thing. I remembered the colors of the rainbow in order by keeping them arranged, just so, in my crayon box. And drawing a lot of rainbows. Sometimes with a hidden pot of gold at the end. More likely attached to cloud. A couple of years ago on Easter, I believe, I saw a double rainbow. The image has stuck. It’s funny how, even as adults, we become mesmerized by the sight—eyes drawn up in delight and wonder.

So, it’s very cool that your town has adopted the rainbow as a symbol. And as you’ve offered this poem portrait, you’ve revealed the rainbow in yourself. The bleak vision of that alien scene at the beginning gives way to the light of simple joys and how they can transform our mood and understanding. Even if just for a moment. And sometimes a moment is all it takes to let the light in—pure and prismatic—and remind us that hope always remains as long as we reach for it.

Always enjoy your forays into the concept of hope, Gram.

Rainbows take me back to physics lessons and Taffy Evans with his Welsh drawl. How can you forget ROYGBIV. That was drilled into us as Richard of York gained battles in vain. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. Rainbows are beautiful and offer hope after a storm. Look where you took me gram, back to school. Right this moment that's where I would be happy to be. Good morning to you too. Take care, be safe.

Emmy has that gift she does... a lovely heart she has! As you read in my last poem that Image of the girl in the bubble was sent to me and it inspired my finally writing something after having such a hard time finding the words during all of this turmoil wanting to express it but also tired of thinking about it and then that image appeared and I wanted to reach into her bubble and give her hope and a bit of an embrace brace that thing we are all hungering for in isolation! seems you found your girl in the bubble too:) Sir Gram

I love the phrase "rainbow vibe" -- your poem seems to have a teensy bit of sarcasm running beneath your sweetly crafted colorful scenarios of life after the storm. Or maybe I'm just reading this plethora of rainbows (coming from a typically caustic guy) as surely a bit of a spoof. But I also see you trying hard to live up to the aspirational way that Emma can inspire us to create a prevalent rainbow vibe *wink! wink!* I might be too jaded for so many rainbows reflecting in my morning coffee (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
