writing will never die, any word published on the net or in ink even a note you jot down at midnight, writing will never die. I live to write, i love it, i dont care if its not reviewed, but am happy to get some yes of course like we all are. I also love to review new writers, their fresh ideas. I was new here 2 years ago and i felt out of place, a lot, surrounded by all these wonderful!!! fantastic writers, its taken me two years to realise that maybe yes I belong in my odd original way, yes Im not that bad that I thought i was back then. Writing never dies only our spirits.

my friend says this is a mutual admiration society and to an extent that is true... here's the rub from the bunny... Gram I don't review folks if i don't think the write merits one this is a double edge sword cause if the subject merits better clarity i will say so for the sake of the write this can be met with angst but i always explain why i think it merits it and that is usually enough to take the sting away. the other edge is my not saying something leaves someone hanging in the ether not coming across its a tightrope. For me however the difference from when i first started writing in here and now is... freaky I have learned from all of you in reading you and i truly love the common threads that bind us in the process

Irony is not a flower... that would be Bryrony, tho Byron was a poet.. does that count as poetry.. no tis the tobacco that counts.... well that and good posts... I hope that was not the end... enjoyed.. Neville

Lol, thanks Neville, don't worry, I have recovered from my anti social fugue,
Ah such a vitrolic expose of the art of on-line poetry sites. No real critique only platitudes and a drive to be current or die the death of ignimoniously being ignored as yesterday's news!
Look upon it as gone today but back tomorrow.
They'll always be something to write about.
Or just be like me and pinch a line from other poets and join them up.

There will always be something to say and many ways to say it. The writing won't die. I am more optimistic despite the battlefields you can come across on Internet poetry. I know there are people out there who love poetry as much as I do. I breathe it. That's where you took me gram.

Thanks, Chris, you are a breath of fresh air, and inspiration too,
Chuckling here... In olden days most peeps were too busy keeping eating as a habit, to even afford something to write on or with - even if or when they had a clue of HOW to read or write. And that says much about the present time - even the kids have access to ...the world, the WHOLE world.
Self-publishing was seldom an option either.
Education had "airs" attached, an automatic assumption of "well-to-do" and "privilege". Now you "need" a degree to be behind a cash register taking orders for coffee - for a minimum wage W/O benefits. The envy has sort of worn off.
It still takes time for people to figure out if they have something to say that anyone MIGHT just listen to - and they get so damn surprised when someone DOES listen.

I carried a book of the 100 greatest poems through four war zones. Shared the book with many people. I have the book on my table. Poets and writers don't die. Their words outlast their time on the earth. Your words honest and I wonder often. Why do I write? Easy answer. I must. Thank you dear friend for sharing your amazing poetry.

No wish to be more or else

Of breath that thinks with its blood,
Yet straining despite; unsure
