Spark

Spark

A Poem by Gracynn

We zoom around in your low, low car
Late at night, too busy to look at the stars
I giggle nervously at your jokes
The jitters dwindle after we smoke

You gaze into my dark eyes in search
For something that does not lurk
My smile fades at your realization
I am shushed before I attempt to ration

Instead of walking out like others
You tell me of my importance and further
Say I am worth more than people thought
For you see a spark in my eyes they had not

when someone sees another for who he or she really is...they are looking much deeper than the surface...and i do believe the eyes speak volumes...
if only we take the time to look.

This is sweet and romantic. Makes me think of that innocence of young love.
