A Poem by Carlie

In the deepest depths of my mind
where the pavement meets the black sky
and the stars kiss the sidewalk
we would meet
and I would know
you could be trusted.
Our thoughts would flow steady
and dance and weave
creating a colorful fabric of friendship
of trust
of love

But in the harsh reality
we will meet
and I will stiffen
my thoughts might come out
will be rusted and jagged
all wrong in my ears and in your eyes
and I will lose myself in that moment
lose everyone else
and it will all cave in
my entire being
the force of the crash compacting it
to a small spot behind my heart
and its gravity will keep everything in

tucked in safe

alone

Well, for a super rough first draft, I would have to say it is pretty amazing. Nice write.

Wow..it is beautiful. While reading your poem, I had memories of my own insecurity as a teen. Those days were dark, but I wish I could go back and tell my young self not to dwell so much on others. Especially boys, and to just enjoy being young. You are very talented. Could you please review, "Janey." The first chapter of my book, My Way.

Thanks
