Changing

I’ve heard that once you decide to change

You’ve already begun your transformation

And that everything in the world

Becomes part of your imagination

 

But if that’s true

Then why is it so hard

To realize what wrong

To deal your own cards?

 

If you think about what’s holding you back

You may say it’s others

But let me be the one to tell you

It’s yourself, so stop blaming each other

 

Sin pulls you down

It pulls hard and with all its might

And when the devil smiles in satisfaction

You can decide to seek the light

 

And once you do

The devil hides in fear

Because you gave into to love

Gave into God, someone I hold dear

 

And he helps you through thick and thin

Guides you through your transformation every day

I know he helped me with mine

 Now I am who I am today
