Black

The color of your heart,

The picture of darkness.

The feeling of loneliness,

The sadness that fills my heart.

The worry of my mother,

The disappointment of my father as he looks at what I’ve become.

The shade changes from pitch darkness to a lighter shade of grey,

My feelings change.

The shade of mixed emotions, unbroachable topics, taboos.

The color of shyness,

Of people intimidated.

The control of many,

The rebellion of one.
