GoodbyeA Poem by Grace
All those days we were waiting.
All those days we were waiting. . . All those days we were waiting For her to die All the hopes that we grasped With each fading gasp That fed the miracle held in heart. But right from the start There was no chance, Just time leaping, rushing to pass. And now set in brass A name now no more Only one less reason to be living for Because ALL of those days we were waiting, It changed "grave" from emotion to place. So that on every face there's a missing space A gaping hole Of desperate denial. © 2010 Grace |
