Endless

Don't take this poem too seriously. Because in all seriousness, this poem is too serious. haha sorry i had to.

hope is endless.
agony is endless.
love is awe inspiring
so is death
the range of our emotions
are great and complex
but not enough.
fulfillment is fleeting
waiting for the next thing to matter
is simply a way of passing time
until we face the darkness
companionship is just a way to avoid the panic
that comes when we truly are alone 
with our own thoughts
we seek to escape, or transcend humanity
through addictions 
and false senses of purpose
who will be standing by
when the world is caught by Hell?
Who will stand by their mistakes and face the terrible consequences?
Because truthfully, sometimes it is better to
run away
