A Friendly Chance

I wrote this poem for my friend who lives in Seoul, South Korea. His name is Hong Jang Hun. Despite the distance, we never fail to feel each other that we are "friends" despite of our differences.

                 

A Friendly Chance

 

It was that day I can recall,

I feel the gloomy on a Sunny day,

Until I found a Friendly Stranger,

Out of the blue my mood gets lighter.

 

He is a friend from far away,

A place I know and wanted to go,

He is a friend I can defend,

Our friendship last until the end.

 

Although the distance is quiet a far,

Our closeness bloom like moon and star,

As long as time is there for us,

The friendship live and always last.

 

How wonderful this life indeed,

You meet a friend when you’re in need,

Who cheer you up when feels astray,

Says life is good and it’s okay.

 

I hope that time for us will come,

Our hands will shake and feel the warm,

Two different stranger talking and laughing,

Looking back days and reminiscing.

 

Years from now we’ll getting old,

These memories in our hearts we hold,

A great story of a distant friendship,

That we’ll remember until forever.
